I think that the kids dicided to stand up to Husian Kan now because before there was an order and no one steped out of line. then Ickball came and showed then how unfair Husian was then when he was going to put Maria into the tomb they knew it was to far. They also knew they out numbered Husian and that Husian would never put all of them in the tomb. If he did there would be no one to work and no money for him. -- Kumudu :D
The kids probably thought that enough was enough, and they weren't going to let another innocent person go to the tomb.If they stick together like this Hussein Kahn won't send another person to the tomb.
I was not hear for the story but I think that they stood up against Hussane Con now because he might have mistreated them in the chapter or that they just had enough of working so the just stood up against him.
I think that finally the kids chose to stand up to Hussein Khan because they knew no one ever took notice of little Maria and why throw her in the tomb when she was dreaming of something that wouldn't happen. Even though she didn't know she made a mistake of make a picture instead of a pattern, but she is just a child. Besides everyone stood up now because they felt bad for Iqbal and how he was in the tomb and they knew they couldn't meet him any longer, and now they knew Maria would rot and eventually die in the tomb.
The kids chose now to stand up to Hussien Khan because after they found out that he was gonna put little Maria in the tomb and saw what was happening to Iqball when he was in the tomb, the kids didn't want her to get hurt/die. And i also agree with Kumudu because the kids new that if they stick together they would out number Hussien Khan and he wouldnt have anything else to say. -Khuloud Ahmad!!!
I think they chose now because Iqball wan't there to stand up for them, they just saw him get in big trouble from Hussien Kahn so they wanted to stand up to him and they new the littele girl couldn't stand in the tomb for even a day because she's so young.

I think the kids decided to stand up to Husain Khan now because when Iqbal came, he looked brave and determaned just from the look of him eyes(That's what Fatima said), and when the kids saw how brave and talented Iqbal was, they were encouraged to do the same, thinking if he could do it, why can't they?

I think the kids decided to stand up to Hussien Khan because they felt sorry for the little girl being put into the tomb. Iqbal was being really brave, so the kids just wanted to show Hussien Khan that they were tired of being like a slave to him, so they agreed with Iqbal.
I think that the kids stood up to Hussein Khan because they noticed how Iqbal was brave and courageous, and they got inspired to be more like him. Also, I think that they did not want Maria to die in the tomb, so they wanted to be with her to comfort her.
I think that they choose to stand up to hussien kone now after all that time because they did not want to see the little girl go in the toom since they knew she would die after one day, mabey even an hour and they also knew that he would never put them all in the toom because then he would not have anybody working makeing carpets, so he would not get any money plus they would not all probably fit in the toom at once. by the way the book is great!
