The thing that makes Alex suspicious about his uncles death is that he is being told it happened because his uncle wasn't wearing a seat belt. The suspicious part is that his uncle is so cautiousness about wearing a seat belt, even when going around the corner. In this chapter, the thing that made him more suspicious is that there was other stuff in his office that a person in a bank shouldn't have. Also, Mr. Blunt and another person came into his uncles office at the same time he was in it. This is suspicious because it is like they knew he was in there.
Alex was so suspicious about his uncles death because Alex's uncle was supper strict about seat belts. In Chapter 3 Mr. Blunt called and told Alex that he had to talk to him in office after school. Alex went to the meeting and when Mr. Blunt left Alex jumped out the window, grabbed the flag pole, then jumped to his uncles office while he was doing this Mr. Blunt was watching him the whole time. Then Mr. Blunt came in with another guy the other guy was holding a gun.
I think Alex was suspicious for his uncles death because his uncle was always strict about seat belts, even if he would go across the street he need to have his seat belt on but when they said how he died they said that his uncle died in a car accident because he was not wearing his seat belt.In this chapter Alex gets a call from the bank saying they want to meet up with him but when he goes to the bank he climbs in the window of his uncles office that no one is allowed in.While he is in there Crawley, a man that said he knew Alex's uncle but really didn't, walked in on Alex and Alex was looking through all the files and the man on Crawley's side shot at Alex but Alex dodged it.They knew Alex would sneak into his uncles office, it was a setup!
Alex was suspecious of how his uncle died. His uncle died in a car crash and wasn't wearing a seatbelt so almost died instantly. Alex's uncle ALWAYS wore a seatbelt no matter what. What raised it even more was when alex visited the junk yard and saw his uncle's car had bullet holes in the side. Alex got even more suspecious when he confrunted Mr.Blunt about his being more then just a banker, and as a result got shot.
I think the fact, that Ian died because he didn't wear his seat belt in a car crash, made Alex suspicious about his death in the book. I think this because in the chapter, Alex said that Ian was really cautious about safety,( he ALWAYS wears his seat belt), and makes sure Alex does too. Alex is certain that it didn't happen and he is suspicious of even more things too. For example: the van that left from his house, right after Alex came back from school. When the van left, all the things in Ian's office, (which is IN the house),were on the floor and the usually half-opened door to his office was closed. Also, at the wrecking yard, (junkyard),Ian's car had bullet holes on the windshield which is completely irrelevant for a car accident. That's what I think his suspicions are about Ian's death. - Bokchoi :)
I think that Alex was really suspicious because his uncle always wore his seat-belt and he was very strict about it, also because when Alex was at his uncles funeral there was a lot of people even though his uncle told him that he didn't have any friends also there was a man with a gun at the funeral, and last is when his uncle would always come home with cuts and bruises when he said he worked for the bank. In this chapter Mr.Blunt goes to his house and says that they needed to talk about his uncle, he got suspicious because he already knew that he wasn't wearing his seat-belt so he died but Mr.Blunt wouldn't just come to tell him what he already knew. Also in this chapter Alex finds a file that says "Ian Rider- StormBreaker." He gets suspicious because his bank was a different name. -Sara
I think that Alex was suspicious of his uncle's death because the police said that he wasn't wearing a seat belt even though he was a very safe person and he saw bullet holes in the window of the car. Also, he saw a man at the funeral drop a gun. -Caleb
Alex was suspicious about his uncles death because he thought his uncle was a banker and always came home with bruises and scratches. What happened in this chapter was that alex found out that his uncle was a secret spy and was coming home from a mission when he was killed. Dawson
The main part of this chapter is about how Alex Rider found out how his uncle died and how Mr.blunt wanted him to be a little spy. I didn't get what the moose was saying , all i understood was " What happendin this chapter " .
In this chapter Alex became more suspicious of his uncles death because he found files in his office. He saw that they had nothing to do with banking. They were titled Nerve Poisons, Assassinations. He became very puzzled because he realized that he was working as a spy. He tried his best to read through the files but was distracted by Mr. Crawley and the driver from the junkyard. Alex tried to question the men about what was going on and what happened to his uncle. But he soon realized that his uncle was obviously not a banker but a spy and probably died on one of his assignments.
Alex is suspitous becasue in the first chapter the police came to his door saying his uncle had died in a car accidant. When Alex went to the junk yard he foud his uncles car with bullit mark in the window and blood on the seat. he is susptious because he wants to know why the police said car accidant when really somone had shoot him driving home. i think i would be suspitous to becasue i would think the police are nn with it to. i would think that becasue they said something that wasnt true when alex found out the real death of his uncle.
Alex is suspicious about the official report on his uncle's death (a car crash) because the police said that his uncle wasn't wearing his seatbelt. Alex's uncle wouldn't even drive around the corner if Alex's seatbelt wasn't on though, so it seemed strange that Ian Rider himself wasn't wearing his seatbelt.
Alex's suspicions are confirmed when he visited the junkyard where his uncle's crashed car was most likely going to be placed. When he finds the car, Alex's notices that the windshield has small, round holes- the perfect shape and size of bullets. This leads Alex to the conclusion that his uncle was murdered.
This also confuses Alex because he doesn't know why somebody would kill an employee for the bank. However, when he explored his uncle's office at the bank, Alex discovers that his uncle had things like nerve poison and other things that a spy might have in their possesion. -Dani L.
Alex is suspicions because the police lied to him and said Ian died in a car accident. But when he visit the junkyard he realize his uncle didn't die like the police said.
