Weekend homework

• No official homework for homeroom but Tuesday you will be presenting your Fotobabble setting descriptions to the class. Check back later in the weekend for a screencast on how to do a Fotobabble if you are having difficulties.
• If you are part of the Thriller presenters make sure to practise at least twice a day over the weekend and everyone else just once.
• Have a great weekend and make sure you get outside because the weekend is suppose to be nice.

fotobabble.com Descriptive Setting Assignment

1. Your setting is walking up to a spooky house.

2. using a graphic organizer (like the one we used in class) Brainstorm all the feelings you have using the 5 senses (taste, touch, sound, sight, smell) as you approach the house.

3. Write your first draft.

4. Make sure to use descriptive adjectives and include similes and metaphors.

5. Edit and revise your work.

6. Complete a final published copy. Type it into Open Office or another word processor.

7. Find a picture of your spooky house on the net.

8. Create and record a fotobabble (see the technology tips section of the blog for review).

9. Post your fotobabble and your text to your wiki page.

10. Be prepared to present your fotobabble to the class.

Cross Country

This past Tuesday 7M athletes represented their class and school in fantastic fashion at the city cross country meet. Sara, Sydney, Tian, Caleb and Daniel all ran fantastic races with many of them qualifying for the district meet this Friday. Most notably was Tiarra who left the competition in her dust finishing first overall in the intermediate girls race. Special thanks to Dani who even though she was sick came and supported her teammates.

Sick!!!

Sorry I have been away the last few days guys, I have caught a nasty flu. I hope everything has been going well in class. Next week we will have to do a lot of catching up so please make sure your Stormbreaker work and your math is all completed. Have a great weekend and I will see you all on Monday.
