What conflict was the main topic of today's reading? What type of conflict was it and do you think the character made the ride choice? Why or why not?

  1. The conflict I thought was most important was the part where Max and the "wild boys" were fighting.
The boys were beating a little girl and threatening her, for no reason. So, Max came along and started to yell at them, about their behavior. Soon, they got into a fight, quite physical. Max was trained well by Jeb, so she punched/kicked all the boys and told the little girl, Ella, to run away. While Ella was running, the fight still continued, up until the boy brought out the shotgun and Max ran into the forest. I think it was a good, but also bad choice. This is because, she could have saved her time to save Angel instead of focusing on the boys, but at the same time Ella looked as if she really needed help. Therefore, it was a 50/50 situation.

  2. In chapters that we read today the conflict was when Max was fighting with herself either to help the girl that was being bulled. This was a character to self conflict. In my opinion I think that Max did do the right thing to try to stop bulling even though she risked getting shot in the left shoulder this shows that Max rely cares about other people other then herself and her non-blood related siblings. If I were in her situation I think I would have ignored the bulling and just went straight for Angel.

  4. i think the main conflict for the reading we did today was that Max fighting the bullys so i think that max did the right thing standing up for the girl getting pick on because if max didn't step in somthing really bad could happen to that girl.

  5. The main conflict of today's reading was when Max was trying to rescue Ella from three bullies. This was a character vs. character conflict (Max vx. the three bullies). Max made her choice to help Ella because in the book, it says that Max was thinking what if it was Angel in Ella's place. Also, from what I've read, I think Max is the type of person who would always regret it if she just walked away from a situation. In other words, I think she's not a bystander- she's a person who's willing to stand up for other people.

  6. I think that the main conflict was when Max saw those 2 guys and they started fighting then
Max got shot by the shot gun. No, I don't think she made the right choice because when she was done fighting the 2 boys and she ran, she got shot and now she can't run and now they have to think of a new way to save Angel. Also afterwards she was thinking of all the mistakes she made and started to regret it.

  7. I think the conflict was that Max had the choice to help Ella from the guys that were attacking her or keep going and get Angel from the facility. She picked to stay and help Ella and than to go get Angel, even though it was a setback from saving Angel.

  8. I also think Sam made the right choice because she saved Ella's life, even though her sister was being kept in a facility and that was what the were focused on doing, getting Angel. ^

  10. The conflict that was most important of today's reading was when Max had to make a decision whether to save the little girl getting beat up by three boys or, leave her alone and ignore it. This conflict was a character vs him/herself. The character did make the right choice because what if it was Angel who was that little girl and no one stopped to help her so then, Max decided to help her.

  11. I think that the main conflict in this reading was Max vs Herself because she was deciding on whether she should help Ella and delay Angel's rescue or to ignore the girl and proceed with her mission. In the end, Max's sense of justice took over and she decided to help Ella quickly and then be off. In my opinion, she made the right choice because if she evaded the problem, Ella would've probably gotten hurt for doing the right thing.

  12. In today's reading when Max, Fang and Nudge were flying Max noticed that a girl was surrounded by 3 boys and knew that she was being bullied. Max decided to go save the girl and help her out. This was a Character vs Character conflict because Max fought with the 3 boys in the chapters to save the girl. I think she made the right choice because even though she got a little lost she saved the girl which is most important because in order to make peace between one another you have to help each other out. -Judy

  13. The conflict on today's reading was about how Max, Nudge, and Fang tried to make their way to and through the School. It was also about how Gasman and Iggy were really bored and had nothing to do so they decided to experiment a bit with things around the house. In chapter 21 they were also chased by this other gang about revealing things so they got chased and they had to try and lose them. This was a conflict between the Flocks and the other gang. I think this because they were trying to get payback for saying something and they had to try and escape before they got injured or hurt! I think Max made a good choice running away from that other gang because they had guns and then they kept chasing after her! But i was a good idea that she stopped because then she got them thinking that she couldn't take it anymore and that she was weak. Then when the two members came to attack her she went and attacked rapidly knocking them down one after the other. So that was a conflict that I realized in the text and was it a good move or a bad one!

  14. A conflict of todays reading was if Max was going to help the little girl. I think she made the right choise because even though she got hurt, the little girl got away saftly and that was Maxes goal.

  15. The main conflict of today's reading was when the shotgun boys were fighting with Max. The conflict was a character vs. character conflict.
Max made the right choice because the girl would have not stand a chance against the shotgun boys. Max knew that Max could run away and beat them up because she was trained. The little girl was not so thats why I think she made the right choice.

  16. The conflict used in the story was Character vs. Character. The conflict was when the two men started to fight with the angel. I think she did the ride/right thing because she was using self-defense. She was defending herself from the two men.

  17. I think the main conflict of today's reading was when Max had to decide wether or not to help the girl. This was the Character to Herself conflict. Yes, I think Max made the right desision helping the girl because if she does something good to someone else it may be returned and then Max might be able to save Angel.

  18. The conflict for this part of the book that we read was about max and how she saw this little girl getting bullied by these three older boys. So she went out of her way to help the little girl because she didn’t want anything to happen to her like angel. She went down and told the boys to stop and they didn’t. So they gave max three warnings to go away that didn’t happen. After that max started to beat them up after two there was one left and that one had a gun so she told Ella to run then after Ella max did but then she got shot. I think max made the right choice because it’s good to stand up for people and she probably didn’t want anybody going through what angels going through right now in the book .

  19. I think today's conflict is when Max got shot by the shotgun. I think it is the conflict because Max is the oldest sibiling and she's the one that has control over everything. If she really got hurt then her sibilings probably wouldn't survive. That's why i think it's todays conflict. - John

  20. I think today's reading's conflict is: when Max,Fang,Gazzy,Nudge,Iggy) was trying rescue Angel, Max saw Ellen was being bullied, she got a fight in her brain, stay to help this girl, or keep on going to rescue Angel.Max finally decieded to save Ellen first, because she knew the whitecoats want Angel in a experiment, they don't want Angel to die, but Ellen can be killed
by bullies. If this was Angel, she wil try to save her.

  21. This conflict is a Characters vs Herself conflict because the conflict of these chapters was when Max was fighting with herself whether or not to help the little girl that was being threatened. Even though she could have ran away and went for Angel, she thought if Angel was in that situation she would want someone to help her out so she had to help her.
